School Safety Conference

The Great Lakes Association for School Safety Conference 2025 is currently accepting applications from perspective speakers for breakout sessions during the conference. Our event features dynamic keynote and panel speakers, informative, interactive workshops, a vendor expo and several opportunities to network with industry peers.

Our breakout sessions will provide attendees with critical school safety and security information, best practices, resources and actionable solutions. If you are an industry professional, school security director, law enforcement professional, emergency manager, school administrator, facility manager or school safety thought leader that is interested in sharing your knowledge, submit your application today.

Potential speakers must submit a detailed proposal through the link below no later than February 27, 2025.

Professionals, experts and practitioners with extensive knowledge in school safety & security practices, technology, campus safety, emergency management, public safety, and facility management should complete the proposal below on sessions addressing school safety and security topics on K-12 school campuses.

Dates and Deadlines:

Speaker submission call opens January 17, 2025. All submissions are due no later than February 27, 2025. No late submissions will be accepted.

Additional Considerations:

  • Selected presenters must provide their presentation for review prior to the event, along with three questions and answers pertinent to the presentation for attendee certification confirmation.
  • We are seeking fact-based presentations supported by data that include topics of interest, personal experience, leading practices, and lessons learned. Personal opinions or agendas without research or practical experience are not acceptable.
  • Our goal is to ensure all sessions maintain a high standard of credibility and value for our audience.

For Vendor Submissions:

  • If submitting on behalf of a company or product, all vendor-led sessions are paid opportunities in addition to vendor fees.
  • Vendor presentations may be considered if partnered with school personnel and demonstrate evidence of Comprehensive School Safety Plan considerations.
  • Sessions focused solely on products or sales are not permitted.

  • Presentations and expenses related to appearance are not compensated
